Donihue has directed over 100+ short form works in his extensive career including his “mini-movie music videos” that have done millions of views for acts such as Breathe Carolina & Blasterjaxx, Moguai, Mark Sixma, Thomas Gold, Harrison & Hiio, Elephante, John Dahlback and most recently, Grammy Award Winning Concert Pianist Ruslan Sirota.
Commonly hired by artists and labels looking to tell a story, Donihue’s narrative background is extensive, having emerged as an underground playwright and director of note in Seattle in the late nineties with such cutting edge works as Hey Baby Do You Wanna Come Back To My Place & Justify My Existence.
In 2005 he wrote and produced the internationally acclaimed feature Parzania which was nominated for the eastern hemispheres Oscars, the film fare award for Best Picture and Best Screenplay and Best Story. Leads Sarika and Naseeruddin Shah took home Best Actor Nominations.
In 2010 Donihue’s epic four and a half hour interactive choose your own adventure film The WeatheredUnderground was released by Indican starring Heroes’ Brea Grant. The comic book inspired picture went on to become a small cult classic and is now shown as part of curriculum and many of the worlds best film schools. In 2014 Donihue directed another socially driven action comedy, The Bang Bang Brokers, currently headed for distribution.
